Marketown Health is a high standard modern medical practice and health care provider for life work and travel. Owen Signs worked alongside the King Street General Practice for to completely rebrand into Marketown Health as they moved to a new location at Marketown shopping centre. Through using visual cues and imagery we wanted to capture the professionalism, positive clinical environment, and core values “Health for Life, Health for Work, and Health for Travel” that Marketown Health aims to provide.
The Marketown Health logo is a key identifier of their brand, representing the lively, positive and connected environment of the medical centre. The main element of the logo is the star symbol, which is a representation of the connected relationship the staff at the medical centre have with their patients. The typography is sophisticated, clean and professional to depict the vision of Marketown Health. Colour is one of the most important forms of non-verbal communication and forms an important part of the Marketown Health brand. The blue used in the Marketown Health branding depicts depth and stability and symbolises trust, loyalty, wisdom and confidence.
Imagery plays such an important role in a company’s branding. It creates the brand’s personality and mood. The images used in Marketown Health’s branding represent the high standard of medical practice and health care that is provided.
The Marketown Health branding was carried throughout the signage at their new location in Marketown shopping centre. The new location is bright and airy with lots of natural light coming through the windows. We designed window graphics that represented the interconnectivity of life that the medical centre represents, ensuring patient privacy without compromising on professionalism and maximising the natural light efficiency.
The internal signage carried on the professional feel of the centre. Sophisticated and clean typography was used for directory signage, depicting consultation rooms and nursing stations. The interconnectivity motif was carried through the reception area by applying etch film graphics onto the windows without compromising privacy.
